RS PRO Opaque Fluoroplastics PTFE Rod, 500 mm x 40 mm DiameterThis opaque fluoroplastics PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) rod from RS PRO measures 500 mm in length and 40 mm in diameter. Its useful for many chemical and engineering applications. Thanks to its PTFE construction, the rod can withstand exposure to chemicals and radiation. Its also low-friction and low-adhesion and has excellent dielectric properties, making it a good choice for insulation. You can safely use it at temperatures of up to +260°C, and its rated as flame-retardant according to international science safety company Underwriters Laboratories standard UL 94 V-0. It also meets standards for plastic and elastomer testing according to the German Institute for Standardization (Deutsches Institut für Nurmung, DIN) and the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM).
