This starter has a moulded plastic case thats IP65 rated, giving it protection against dust and high-pressure water jets from any direction. Its useful to fit motor starters with an overload protection device to prevent short circuits or overheating issues. This model doesnt include one, so you would need to select one from the RF38 series – for example, stock no. 685-130 – to match the full-load current of your motor. Youll find this DOL starter in motor-driven applications, such as workshop machinery, large fans and water pumps.
