What happens when the ice bin is full?, The Polar ice machine has a sensor which automatically stops the ice making process if the bin is full. Once ice is removed, the unit will then resume ice production. What type of ice scoop should I use?, The Polar ice maker is supplied with a suitable ice scoop and additional scoops are available separately (AA107). Ice scoops should either be made from food safe shatter resistant plastic or metal. Note that you shouldnt use glasses to scoop ice directly, as brittle glass can easily chip against hard ice.
