| The Verbatim Store 'n' Go TV Hard Drive has been designed to make sure you never miss your favourite TV show ever again. It features a handy cradle in the box, that allows you to fix the drive to the back of your TV, hiding the wires and keeping a clean and tidy look. By connecting your Store ‘n’ Go TV Hard Drive via USB** into your TV it will act as a videorecorder that can record digital TV programmes and even has the functionality to pause live TV.
Drives that are 2TB or under are formatted in FAT32 allowing them to operate immediately on Windows and Mac OSx. Drives above 2TB are formatted in NTFS which is compatible for Windows systems but require Mac users to reformat the drive to HFS+ to make them fully compatible with Mac OSx operating systems. HFS+ formatting can be applied by using the Verbatim VHD Formatter which is on the drive.
USB-RECORDING – WHAT IS IT ?
The last few years more and more TV’s are equipped with one or more USB port(s). We have already grown accustomed to playing back photos and movies from a USB hard drive or USB stick on the TV. Now an additional USB feature has been added to TV sets – USB Recording. USB-Recording enables you to record programmes to an external storage device directly connected to your TV via USB. If you have recently bought a new TV there is good chance that it will support USB-Recording, in particular when you have bought a mid range or high end TV.
**Please note: You need to check if your TV supports USB-Recording and only European TVs have USB recording. US models have the feature disabled due to legal issues.
